ya, shadowplay is a boring as fuck tree to start with. Hold down 1 for an attack thats barely better than an auto attack...then repeat for 10 levels. im playing as an archer in the alpha and went shadowplay first then archery, a tree with mostly long cooldowns. I spent 40 levels or so using that...

you bid on the auction house for a chance to siege one of 12 castles. These sieges only occur once per week per castle. I havnt seen but i imagine they happen at or around the same time.

my biggest worry about this game is that there isnt a lot to do at the end. Theres no real open ended system to keep people playing on a daily basis. PvP is fun but theres no loss except when someone is carrying a trade pack. Not long after launch, you wont need the rewards from those trade...

this is actually one of the better things about PvP. You can combo off other players abilities so it creates a real group dynamic with all the different combinations since just about every skill has a meaningful interaction. its what synergies in ESO should be.

draw distance on players/ships is absolutely fucking horrible.

ya, the asian is definatly still in the game. Lottery crafting, if you dont want to do that you need 1000 or so of a mob drop from a specific area...but theres 6 variations of the drop.

there are open world bosses to raid but end game gear is all crafted in a very asiany lottery crafting system.

so i hit max level and went to check out the northern island. does something stop guilds from just gliding into any castle on the island during sieges?

they invited a few people from the community. some guide writers for english players on other versions, some streamers of the russian version, etc. If you were one of these you got the 10 keys. Those who got a phone-a-friend or random invite didnt get any to give out.

more than anything there needs to be resources for players to fight over. its nice and everything to be able to build a home and defend it but if there isnt a reason to hold an area with your home its all meaningless. its what every pvp mmo these days gets wrong.

to clear this up a bit. health on gear comes at 1.5:1 ratio to other stats as well. so assuming you have a full set of gear of your character level, it really doesnt matter.

hmmm, so far ive seen 4 different groups claiming world first emperors. whod have thought rolling over empty zones would be so important to people.

if you mean 2 stacks, one with 6 armies, they need to be adjacent to each other before combat starts. If you mean 2 small stacks into 1, just take one and right click on the other.

if you plan on jumping in and pvping from level 10, maybe do it. If you plan on questing, you wont have fun. If you plan on aoe grinding, its never fun regardless of game.

if i have to enter one more persons dream to figure out whats really going on, someone isnt going to be dreaming ever again.

how would that fix anything? youd still jump into actual casual with some built up deck to finish quests every day.
