One problem with the game is that the only challenging part of the mechanics were avoiding the bugs. If they fix all the bugs and don't include real RCI and various other features the game is basically a city painter with a lot of simulation in the background thatyou don't need to worry about...

If you're into FPS you may as well play HL1 just for the history. There's a few very good levels in it. The one with the claw monster is still one of my favorite fps levels.

Khalid, graphics wise it's fine. HL1's gameplay is a little plain these days but HL2 should be very enjoyable.

I don't see anyone suggesting it replaces Windows. I do see a lot of people hoping that relevant features of SteamOS are brought into the nix community and enable Ubuntu/Fedora/Centos etc to further replace windows.
