My issue with elementary is its typically crime of the week but the acting is still good and characters aren't butchered like moriarty and I still really enjoy mycraft, watson, and moriarty even if they are female versions/different

You forget characters like nightwing which will come this season. I have no doubt they can bring in any character like etrigan or dr fate and do them justice. They would be able to do green lanern also, while I don't think martian mahunter can be done properly I won't question there ability to...

That might also come down to your kid. There have been much more cartoons based on dc characters than marvel. Wolverine, iron man , hulk captain that young kids know but batman, superman, wonder woman, green lanter, flash are very well known.
