My wife caught our little guy tugging at his ear periodically last week. Took him to the pedi and he had the beginnings of an ear infection in that ear.

My brother had s nsst abscess they tried draining by connecting a tube from it to his stomach so that the acid would dissolve it. 2 days later he goes to wipe his ass and feels the tube sliding. Needless to say he freaked the fuck out. They ended up just cutting him open and removing it that way.
