I'm calling bullshit on EQ1 play styles being different for most classes. If you were a melee you would auto attack and mash kick. If you were a caster you'd /assist and Alt+1-4. The only different play styles in EQ1 were very specific classes and I'm sure SOE can manage to make something...

AI should be a pretty simple thing... Just set up NPC's to use an if/then system like FFXII's gambits and set em loose. Add another layer for sub routines and you're golden.

Yes freely, but each class is restricted to only using 2 or 3 weapon types. Rangers for example may only be able to use longbows and short swords.

Sounded to me like every class gets unique attacks from different weapon types. A ranger and a rogue will have different skill set using the same weapon.

Everyone makes it sound like unlocking classes and getting tiers is going to be a walk in the park, like you're just going to expect anyone to fill any role. Knowing SOE there will probably be a ton of timesinks put into class tiers.

Yes there are going to be different tiers of depth limiting what you can reach before your tools need to be upgraded. A way of locking harder content so people don't screw themselves. Something like this may also force people to work on crafting if you need to make your own Tier 3 Mining Pick.

I disagree, I think EQN has the potential to stretch story lines out for years. Rallying calls can be extremely easy to conceptualize, and they only really need to implement the seed and the world is supposed to take it from there. They could easily plan out years of city building and slow enemy...
