Dunno what type of PC you have, but a PS5 Pro on Performance is a solid 60fps and looks good. My PC is far better and has no issues at all Epic settings (1440p).

Yes, I think there were some other production partners involved for other dev aspects, but not a lot. So while saying "only 30" people made the game, it wasn't a LOT more people. Still quite the amazing accomplishment.

Yes, he does, but he is also doing what I've seen a lot of other reviewers / streamers / influencers do, which hyping up the "made by only 30-ish" people over and over. This isn't quite true, as they outsourced chunks of the game to other studios.

I never played those games, never had a SNES or PSx til PS4. I think the first turn based rpg I ever played was Honkai Star Rail. That game made at least think about playing others, thought about trying Metaphor ReFantasio, but haven't yet.

Rather than trying to label the game as a "jrpg", I think it would be better to just describe it as a turn based rpg, kinda like bg3(?).

Should just have to enter the zone to have get named on the world map. There were several zones with "Danger" on them when I went to zone.. but noped out before going in and they never got named until after I actually entered the zone, got my ass kicked and left til later.

Of course, that is how journo's / influencers stay relevant, gotta generate interest. In regards to this game, I think the hype is appropriate. I wouldn't call it a "masterpiece", but it has definitely been much better in every way than I hoped. So, I'm happy with it.

About Act III

Turning off DLAA on the Steam Deck? That should be native resolution without any upscaling vs. DLSS which would use upscaling. Unless the Deck handles things differently.

Skip Persona, it's daily JP highschool stuff plus the pokemon battles. I'd recommend playing Metaphor ReFantasio, or this game.

All the guys are overperforming because there are a few fuckable ladies working with them, no fat blue hairs detected. Guess that is the secret to success. Also, where is the guy who put in so much bloom and brightness. Shoot him with a spitwad.

Still pretty early on for me, but I use Wildfire, Thermal Transfer and Mayhem.

She is like 15, you have to deduct 18yrs rather than 9, since she ages 1yr and the clock dwindles by 1yr.

You can run DLAA and get smooth gameplay, the 50 series is overkill for this game, at least with my 5070ti experience. The bloom / super bright fog just kills the experience for me though. Good and fun game, tbh. Though I'm playing on PS5 Pro.

The amount of bloom, or explody light is less on PS5 Pro, but even there it is a lot more than I prefer. The game says its Pro Enhanced, but there is no way to really see, imo. The Quality mode is 30fps, and Perf is 60 but with so much light/bloom it kinda washes colors out even on an OLED.

The QTE part is mainly for your own Skills to do more dmg, and you can enable Auto QTE for those. The defense stuff isn't a QTE, just reaction / timing as in any action game. So if dodging and parry are not your thing, you might have issues here.

About an hour or so into the game now, past the Prologue and into the real shit. The lighting engine is pure ASS though. No amount of messing with settings has resolved this type of shitty lighting: The amount of Bloom is stupid, it just explodes everything. I've adjusted every setting remotely...
