My favorite talent is the PVP talent Sturdy Ox Kick. Some 120 horde rogue jumped me while questing, so I kicked him into a pack of friendly NPCs and they ganged him to death. Then another 120 horde tried to jump me, so I kicked him over a house and ran away lol.

It is a tough balance act. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually launch "hardcore" servers, but I think they have to go this route for now since at launch you don't really pick a server and your game session is migratory everytime you join. Rewarding PKs doesn't work with that model...

Exploring yields lots of nanites, especially when you get to anomaly base and the guy gives you a ton of nanites for your discoveries/achievements. In turn, you can use the nanites to pimp out your ship and tool.
