yeah, it never feels like there's much danger for the main characters. any problems that arise are almost immediately resolved. he props up the villains as cunning and dangerous, but at the same time humanizes them and has them mostly just bumbling around.

I really liked the overarching storyline of dead money, old world blues and lonesome road with elijah, ulysses, the couriers etc. felt like a really strong complement to the main story of NV. honest hearts felt like kind of stand offish compared to the others.

Wasn't that adressed in some of the old comics/books? That the galaxy seems to go in cycles of Jedi/Sith rule, and that the balance of the force is shifting between these two. Thus Anakin really did bring balance to the force in that a cycle of Jedi rule ended.
