Well they made some more rare and some more common. You drop a ton more uniques now too especially with the boss loot change, but the good ones(or well the ones they decided to make rare) are fairly hard to find.

There's also a massive chance you can't chance Soul Taker anymore, at least using a non map white(might be ilvl restricted, basically need 71+), a change they added in 1.0. Your chances of getting a Soul Taker are probably 0 unless you're mapping. Could buy one but on the old leagues at least...
