Canonically they are all alive and have just overthrown the Imperial occupation of Mandalore like a year or so before the Battle of Yavin. This is from 2018 during final season of Rebels.

Mandalorian culture is thousands of years old. They've kicked ass and gotten their asses kicked many times throughout the history of the galaxy. The show takes place in 9 ABY, which means it's only 11 or so years post-Rebels, and the take off your helmet culture was alive and well at that time...

So I'm setting aside my initial skepticism and going with Yodel being a clone because this is a scenario that has played out in other Sci-Fi stories. The doctor/scientist only cares about continuing his work...

How the fuck is it going to tie in with a movie that's set like 20 years in the future? At most there might be an easter egg.
