Glad I could help there. JohnnyGuru (really good website for PSU reviews) didn't have a review for that particular model that you got, but they did review the 650W and 850W and both got 9.4 and 9.2 out of 10 respectively and also a "Tier 1" (ie top tier) PSU according to Toms Hardware. So you're...
1) Get a Windows 10 from Marketplace for Microsoft Software • /r/microsoftsoftwareswap
2) Do you live near a MicroCenter? If so you can get the CPU and Motherboard combo for much cheaper ($320 combo)
3) Don't get a GTX 950 - the 1060 3GB version just came out and it'd be a much better bet.

Pretty much this. I've already gotten bored with it but I skipped the Atlas quest piece when I first booted up because I forced myself not to read any spoilers on it before playing. Just dicked around for a couple days getting a little built up and said fuck it lets see what this story line is...
Wife: Can you finish the projects you're on now before you start your next one?
Me: That's the plan.
Fast forward a day....
Wife: Can you put a new storm door in and help me put up some new drapes?
Me: *Begin raging with the white-hot passion of a thousand fiery suns*
It's OK if we're doing...
I don't run SLI. I did discover it's a bug that is being worked on. Also lowered my OC 0.1ghz and between a bug fix I found on reddit and that, I stopped crashing. Game looks great but.... little boring so far. Also LOL@ConsolePeasant. 40 FPS?... *slow clap*
False. Windows does NOT default all monitors to the slowest monitor's refresh rate.
I have a 144 Hz for my center/gaming monitor and three monitors at 60 Hz.
If anyone is looking for 16 port switch, the NETGEAR ProSAFE GS116NA 16-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch $34.99 after $40 MIR @ Amazon is on sale right now for $35. I've got one, thing is a champ.
Fair point. I think I'm going to keep using them for now. The 5ghz band is mainly what I use and I get full bars across my entire yard now. My phone roams really well on them too (though I think that has more to do with the phone tweak I did to make the roaming better than the actual AP's...
Setting up my Shield now. I haven't bought a toy in a while... Giddy for it.
Edit: OOoookkkaayyy... Now I'm kicking myself for not getting one of these months ago. I'm very happy I got it.
I feel you. I've yet to find anything that can rival the speed of my RT-AC87U's wireless. I'm still using my UAP-AC-PROs but may just get another RT-AC87U and use it as another AP. Haven't decided yet.
From everything I've read, the router base-station and the whole system in general is about as simple and uncomplicated as anything that's been released. So unnecessarily complicated probably isn't the right wording.
There's a couple reviews out.
Hands-on: Ubiquiti’s Amplifi covers the whole...
O.o yours rapes mine on everything but harddrive space. I'm just running an i5-somethingsomethingSkylake with about 40 TB and 16 GB RAM. I want to utilize it better. Right now I virtually only use it for Plex.
AC-LITE wouldn't solve the issue really. I can't imagine it having faster speeds than the AC-PRO version.
It's not a big issue. I'll find a use for them somehow. Just annoying that an "enterprise" or "prosumer" grade AP wouldn't be able to keep up with the ASUS RT-AC87U, which frankly is a...
Sorta wish I would have gotten that. The UAP-AC-PROs are not what I was hoping they'd be. Entirely my fault for getting before doing enough research on them in the first place.
Hmmm, this might be a good place to ask. What is a good, secure way for me to remotely control my HTPC (I'd only control it from computers at my house)? I used to use TeamViewer with LAN Connection only but I got pretty f'n spooked after TeamViewer got raped earlier in the year.
Anyone using an Nvidia Shield for Plex/Netflix/etc? I'm thinking about picking one up, more specifically for Plex but I have a few other uses for it as well. Surprisingly, I've been able to get by just using my Samsung TV's built in app for Plex but it shits out on any "4k" content.
Someone...
I bought two of the Ubiquiti UAP-AC-PRO to add some wifi coverage to the house. Pretty fucking amazing how easy it was to set-up but in my testing, the 2.4ghz throughput is horseshit. I know this equipment isn't meant for throughput and is more enterprise blah blah blah but honest to god... how...
I hear you. It can be a pretty daunting/scary task but with the 6P it is pretty f'n easy. Hard to brick the thing.
XDA has a very good write-up on how to root a stock install, seehere.
I've not had any of those issues myself on Project Fi.
Edit: I didn't have a chance to read the post real thoroughly but what radio is on your phone? What release of Android?
So I gave my coworker my old ASUS RT-N66U to use while I figure out how to use this Mikrotik RB951G-2HnD.
I have it working OK right now, but the max speed I can seem to get out of the wireless averages about 40-50 Mbps when speed testing. Wired connection is fine, just as fast as my ASUS...
Not with that attitude you can't!
(in all seriousness, yes you'll be able to get a copy of 10 on Reddit's MS Swap... or just use your current key if you already upgraded, pretty sure it'll work on a new mobo but I haven't tried it).
