Cord-Cutting, Or How to Stream your Way to Success

Also, to answer the original question to the thread: we do not nor will we ever have cable TV or any sort of service like that. In our living room we have a Samsung smart TV that has a HTPC hooked up to it which we can obviously run Netflix, Hulu, any torrent videos, from and it is nice for...

They just started a 105 down/whatever up in our area too for $50/m. I'm currently at 50 MB down for the same price and will be moving soon so I'm crossing my fingers I can get the 105 down for the same price. Question for people who've dealt with comcast in the past, should I just cancel my...

I used to have that same desk too until that exact same thing happened. Probably not under the same circumstances because it looks like that guy went all rage mode playing DS but mine exploded from me setting a fucking Bic Pen on it quite lightly. 0/10 would not recommend that desk.

I ended up buying aLogitech G710+keyboard yesterday for $100 which is $20-40 cheaper than it usually is. Pretty happy so far - definitely not as loud as some of the other mech keyboards I dicked around with. My fiance actually says it seems slightly quieter than my last keyboard, so that's...

I'm actually waiting for the new ASUS/ACER G-Sync monitors that were shown at CES 2015 specifically because of this reason. There are a few IPS / 120-144 Mhz / 1440p+ / G-Sync monitors coming out starting in March at really reasonable prices. No point in getting the Asus PG278Q since it...

Ha, I thought about it for a brief moment. But I really only need a gaming monitor for my main screen. My right monitor is my movie/web browsing/secondary monitor and my left monitor is almost strictly for Pidgin (Aim/Google Talk), Skype, Steam Friends, Mumble/Vent/TS/etc, basically...

Cool. I did a little more reading last night and I think I'm going to pick one up. The expense part doesn't bother me and I'm getting antsy as hell to upgrade my monitor. Agreed but I may end up upgrading my GPU somewhere in the near future. I don't see a major jump in FPS in upgrading the...

I had a horde (hoard?) of issues with the TP-LINK router you are having trouble with for about a month before I took a baseball bat to the damn thing and gott the ASUS RT-N66U (I got the RT-N66R, it is the same router). Pretty much this. I avoid the Verizon store like the plague. They were dumbfounded when I went in to pick up my phone. I had bought it out right and they were convinced that I'd upgraded. It took me about 10 minutes of explaining that I just bought the phone outright and that I didn't want them...

Sorry I should have clarified. If you have a locked boot loader, you're more or less fucked for root if you upgrade to Lollipop. TLDR Version:Root has to be at the kernel level, and you can't install custom kernel without root. If the bootloader is locked, you are out of luck since you can't...

The Note 4 has already been rooted. AFAIK the only carriers that do not have root are AT&T and Verizon (which I have). Even so, Verizon's Developers Edition is rooted already. But as he pointed out, root is going to be likely impossible in Lollipop.

^ true. People who are pretty big tech geeks probably won't gloss over it, but the general public I would imagine will. And it isn't even cheaper than the Note 4 if you consider the (basically) $200 off Samsung is running right now.
