Nope not really. Even CPU clock speed doesn't make a massive difference. The difference in most games between my i5 3570k running at 3.4ghz or 4.6ghz is like 1-2 FPS. Your GPU is still going to determine 90% of your gaming performance.

How many games do you need installed simultaneously? You should be able to install your OS and the 5 or 6 average games you might currently play and still only be at 50% capacity. But yeah, don't put your entire Steam library on the SSD.
