Played a R/U/G deck back when collar was in Standard that played a Collar as part of a small Trinket Mage package and it was funny how often people scooped to equipping that on an Inferno Titan. Caw-Blade was probably a better deck overall, but that deck leveraged Jace TMS the best. Jace +...

    Better Call Saul

A slow paced prequel show about mostly a bunch of shitty people and it's awesome.

Can be any number of things. Pro players that have some famous event or are known for a particular card. Invitational cards with player likeness on them often get signed by the player. Richard Garfield has signed a lot of cards over the years as well. And sometimes random people for random...

    The Black Company

Probably. It's from the PoV of the Annalist, which gives it an interesting viewpoint with whole flawed narrator bit. Also, if you read other Fantasy stuff you'll see a lot of elements in this series that heavily influenced them. Wheel of Time and The Malazan for example. I personally...

    Better Call Saul

Yeah, I think he's trying to mitigate his part in this by trying to shift the blame to Howard, but I think he knows it's bullshit and still feels terrible.

    Better Call Saul

That comment right at the end to Howard was rough. Also, he's probably feeling pretty shitty about being the reason for the insurance thing to begin with since I think his intentions were inconvenience and anger not suicide.

Won't argue about magic online. You'd think after all these years they'd actually pay their devs and programmers and hold on to the good ones for more than months before they leave for greener pastures.

I wouldn't make that trade. You're on the losing end on both value and playability unless your duals are revised and look like they went through the washing machine.

Versus and the WoW TCG both did things the way you seem to advocate, in fact WoW was largely MTG with every card being land in addition to whatever it was and the ability to directly attack creatures. Both games were heavily pushed, both games tried very hard to have a professional tour to...

    MLB 2018

That series was rough. Giving up 15 in the first game, then hitting for shit the next couple and then how that last one ended with chapman giving up 3 runs and then losing in the 10th. Terrible.

It's all part of the micro vs macro thing too. In an individual game variance is a pretty big factor, but over a lot of games less so. There's a reason matches are best of 3 and often at larger events some of the big matches at the end are often best of 5.

    Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

I don't really get all the hate on GotG2. It's not as good as the first one, but the first one is amazing. There's plenty of room to be not as excellent as GotG and still be a good movie.

People bluff in Magic all the time. You represent removal/counters/combat tricks even without them all the time. You've never attacked with your 2/2 when your opponent has a 4/4 in play? Versus was a game that had very little randomness to it and they really tried hard to push it, but with...

That's actually one of the things that makes the game popular though. Anyone can win a game against anyone in a given game even if in the long term they would rarely win. Give that much of a gap between people in a game with little to no randommess and the less experienced/good player...

I mean maybe they could have jammed Mishra's Bauble in one of the decks, but they aren't going to reprint Goyf or Bob or something in one of these decks. Also, a lot of the new cards are really, really powerful in the format even if there doesn't seem to be a whole lot that will be good in...

2018 NFL Offseason Thread -- Philadelphia Burning Edition

Lions will be middle of the road. Like 7 to 9 wins or something. A lot of people seem to really like the Jags this year and that just seems crazy to me. Their whole division was riddled with QB injuries last year and they have a much harder schedule this year. Plus I would bet that their...

    Everquest - Coirnav Progression Server

VP and Kunark gear in general is mostly pretty trash but there are some clicks and a few PD items that are actually good. Kunark in general is pretty shit though and on TLP if you're the OW guild you kill trak and VS every day and do splits once every 5 or 6 days or whatever and then do VP...

Everquest - Agnarr Server: Sunset Mode

TLP EQ is so fast paced gear usually only lasts a couple of months on average so you wouldn't be acquiring the same shit over and over you'd just be replacing just like is already happening unless you mean items breakdown in a couple of weeks instead of months, good luck with that.

    Everquest - Coirnav Progression Server

Wizards are insane early on. Kunark is kind of a mixed bag, but Classic and Velious are Wizard heaven, and in Luclin your burst is about as good as anyone's but mana regen can be an issue if you split heavily or whatever. It's when you get to 65 it turns into a mess.

The melee nerf isn't that bad and probably wasn't enough to put characters in line. You're still going to see burn fights at 65-70 where monks will double up wizards on parses which is retarded as fuck. SKs got a mild buff with what happened with Mortal Coil and the Epic click no longer having...
