Juju back to Pittsburgh on a 1 year deal. Wonder if it was lack of interest from elsewhere and he figured he might just stick with where he knows he's been productive before to try and up his value next year.
I always liked Lyse in SB, never understood the weird, not hate, but disinterest people have in her. Always been more interesting to me than the twins, by far, although Alphinaud wasn't nearly as bad in ShB.
I think the TW contract is a little crazy for a guy who hasn't played a full 16 games since 2013, but he made it through 14 last year which is above average for him.
Oh I was comparing Mahomes with the Chiefs v. Smith with the Chiefs. But even Kaepernick on average looked to throw downfield on his passes more than Smith did.
I'd actually be curious to know what Lamar's air yards stats are, b/c he does dump it off a good bit but also has hit some deep...
This is true, although even given that, the differences/gap between them has been pretty stark. He just at least didn't check it down quite as much with KC.
Not like the throwing short, game manager throws was just a last year thing, though. Other than the KC years where he aired it out a little more (although nowhere near as much as Mahomes does in that offense), Smith has been known his whole career as a guy who throws shorter/safer stuff.
I should say @Chanur , I think both of them played very well that year. I'm not sure Smith does as well in some of the shootouts the playoff games turned into.
I'm sure he did, Smith not exactly known for pushing it downfield. There's a reason everyone in fantasy picked up JD McKissic as soon as Smith was starting for the Football Team. 2nd most receptions by a RB in the league this year.
Eh, 6-2 and 5-2-1, Kaep actually beat Brady on the road that year, as well. Obviously San Fran D was great that year, too...at least until the playoffs when they gave up 24+ every game.
Truth be told, I'm not sure who would be considered the backup right now. Samsonov and Vanecek both young guys, but since it was supposed to be Samsonov and Lundqvist coming into the season, Vanecek would likely be the backup.
I guess Booker was a FA so getting someone to replace makes sense. Just odd to pretty much blow up your OL releasing guys, trading your good center, then bringing in someone like Drake behind Jacobs.
As to your point, I'd think they really need to put money into the OL and defense more so than...
I would be a little weird to kill Lyse, since she's been absent for so long while we were dealing with stuff on the First. To come back and just off her first would seem kinda odd. I definitely expect a death or two in 6.0, we'll see about 5.5, though.
I mean, I guarantee a lot of these deals are pushing cap hits to the 2nd or 3rd year. Barrett's cap hit only being $5M and change this year just means it's going to be very big later on...but when you know you have a narrow window here to potentially repeat or win another one in the next year...
Kinda crazy Tampa has that much cap space for that, but as I've posted here before, if they had Succop even in Winston's last year they're probably a 10 win/playoff team.
Football Team still has $27M in cap space after Fitz and Jackson signings (plus some smaller ones). Really curious to hear about Golladay, seeing some reports that he's going to the NFC East but could be Giants. I know Washington and Curtis Samuel have been negotiating, too.
I don't think he was even that good for us prior to getting hurt in 2018, although he was obviously better due to still having his mobility. I do feel for the guy if that is just gone and not coming back as a result of it all, because it really hurts his ability to keep playing (if that is what...
