You're assuming the kids at church are somehow more morally aligned than the kids at school. Church doesn't make someone a better person. There's great and shitty people both in and out of church.

This is just good parenting. Be involved in your kids' lives and know who they are hanging out with. The worst kids I ever knew, were from Catholic school.
