there are way too many servers/games that i want to play, meh. red99 was awesome but its way more time consuming than all the other games i'm into. i may come back some day, though.

the main issue with a new server would be that its an extra load on the devs and GMs. there's only two GMs on P99. they could recruit more, but i think they're hesitant to after some of the nutjobs they've regretted giving GM powers to in the past.

they have set up the framework to start up a new server with a strict timeline. everything in the timeline has a switch on it that can be turned on and off at will -- there will be no partial epic quests or etc on the server like you described. they're just not sure whether or not they'll...

^ as far as i know, there is no need to pull files from Titanium in order to get Underfoot working. the Titanium files were for the backpatch from EQLive. if your Underfoot download is almost done then just go with that. god damn this thread has gotten confusing lol

here are all the files from my main Titanium directory that didn't already exist in my main backpatch'd directory some of these are obviously extraneous.... and i'm not sure if any relevant files might exist in any of the folders

that is not accurate for backpatch missing files the backpatch is missing classic misty and classic tox, for instance... both nowhere to be found on that list

all i did was go to my Titanium folder, select the whole thing with Ctrl+A, then copy and pasted into my backpatch folder.... and clicked "do not replace" for all files with the same name. that way only the missing files got copied. make sense?

this is why that backpatch is such a good idea... just needs a few tweaks. i'm having no issues now that i copied the missing files over from my Titanium install.

the biggest advantage of Underfoot over Titanium is that they calculate stats different... at max level you're gonna have like 700 more mana with Underfoot plus there's a few other little glitches in the server that only pop up with Titanium and then there's also just a bunch of other...

^ yeah i may have spoke a bit too soon when i said that Secrets' backpatch was the best way to get a working Underfoot client.... its got the potential, but the missing zone files thing is a big hiccup. i found a quick and easy fix for me -- copied the entire contents of my EQTitanium...

yeah, computer crashed on me when i died after CT... decided to get some stuff done around the house instead. there will be a next time. right click the eqgame.exe file, go to Send To > Desktop (Create Shortcut).... go to your desktop, right click the shortcut, put quotes around the target file...

XP boosts for donations sounds like pay to win to me offering extra XP / items / basically anything that makes PVE quicker/easier is "pay to win" imo
