I've heard it all before and I've tried a ton of it. If it's an expensive place, I almost always ask for recommendations, since I don't know shit about it. If I have to give the chef a handjob to get to the "good" sushi, I'll just go somewhere I can more easily order something I like.

I see all the sushi knights coming to defend it, but honestly, it really doesn't do it for me. I've eaten at some super expensive and well reviewed sushi places too. I don't get the attraction. I'm not a picky eater in the least. I love trying all kinds of foods and I enjoy cooking/preparing...

If I'm even slightly buzzed on alcohol, this is me. Obviously in some situations, this is great, but it's usually just really annoying.
