Yeah if you roll with some kind of static or group of friends that roll together from TLP to TLP you probably don't notice the standard of pug players falling off a cliff, but if you group with randoms a lot you will notice, it truly is the worst pugging experience of any TLP imo, so many people...

Every TLP has guilds that stick it out, yeah you might go through a few merges unless you're lucky enough to be in one of the original guilds that survives, but as long as you're somewhat flexible and open minded you can find a guild to ride to the end if you really want to, regardless of server.

Yeah 20-25 might be typical depending on group comp, pot usage etc. Chardok is the place to do it, with 2 or 3 charm pets. Ideally you want a Chanter, but Necro's are also very stronk here with the undead pets. Druids can charm the doges, even before the recent patch, but those can be annoying...

TSS is actually a pretty cool expac to level from 1-75 in, there's a mostly linear path to follow, lots of quests to do to gear up along the way. It also introduces the Emo Drakkin race.

If you are looking for a good guild on Yelinak I'd check out Victorem. They were the bridesmaids on previous TLPs due to going up against Bloodthirst and That's EQ Baby, but there are no guilds of that caliber on Yelinak so this could be their time to shine.
