They didn't show any of it, but at the end of the classic presentation they hinted at gnomeregan, scarlet monastery and karazhan crypts as upcoming content, which we can assume might be level cap raids.
I get the tanking argument if we're talking raids or mythic+ in retail where the tank responsibility is super high, but classic tanking is easy and a lot more fun imo. I like rogues, but I also like tanking sometimes, so it works out great, and all I have to do is switch one rune (I only saw one...
Metzen hinted at faster releases for the trilogy, so I'm guessing a year, maybe a bit more, between expansions. Adding dragonriding (I think they called it dynamic flying) to all mounts is also cool. Tomorrow there's a deep dive panel which should shed more light on what to expect.
Ya who would fall for this yet again
Even the font they used reminded me of 14. I see this as a good thing though, they need to change things up in WoW.
I think this is classic+ being released incrementally from what they said, progressively raising the level cap with new content at each cap. We should find out more in a little bit at the classic panel, but I've seen a lot of people asking not just for more 60 content but stuff throughout the...
Pretty sure they just announced classic+ without calling it that really, season of discovery. Initial level cap of 25, new stuff to discover in the world, 10 man BFD raid at 25. New ways to customize classes (they mention tanking as lock, healing as mage).
Well at least it sounds like cadiaN is the only one who looks good and has job security after all that. I don't follow CS at all so I don't know if he's a good player or not, same with the other 2.
I remember hearing how good UE5 will be for performance, is that not the case anymore? Are the devs just not optimizing the game very well? I think probably the smoothest game I've played in the last decade was Doom Eternal, but they've always been known for that if I remember right.
How are live servers atm? My understanding is you can't really find a group until near max level, so you solo/molo/box or heroic your way up. But at cap are there a lot of groups going? Bristlebane specifically if anyone knows.
Just be aware that last I checked it's still largely a work in progress, not a playable game state. I believe they were looking for serverside data if anyone had it or something.
Game looked pretty fun from what I saw of streamers playing it, if it can keep up that quality for a decent length souls game (at least 50 hours imo), I'll be interested in playing it.
Tanking for pugs is generally not fun in any game, but being a guild tank is nice.
The artifact tower shield looks fun to tank with, maybe with the artifact flail.
You're thinking of FF12s gambit system I think, which was really well done for its time. GW1 is the other one I can think of that I really liked, setting up a full 8 man team with heroes was really interesting. The idea of an MMO like that where everyone is "multiboxing" a 6 man party is really...
This sounds pretty cool, they're building the game around dungeon masters (they call them tomb masters) running and spawning events on the fly. I've always thought something like this is what we need ever since playing NWN private servers 20+ years ago. The graphics also seem surprisingly decent...
I really do think its them (modern corporate driven games), not us. Games used to be made with more passion by gamers who made the games they dreamed of, you see that if you go back and play them. Games like that still get made, but mostly by small developers (with exceptions like BG3 and Elden...
That all seems plausible. Hopefully the other leak ends up true too, about classic+.
For anyone who didn't see the first one
Announcing Metzen as creative director gives me a little hope that this first leak has some truth to it. Bring back the Cosby crew and keep it old school.
So Sea of Stars is actually good? The art style instantly turned me off, and I just assumed it was about fighting the great evils of racism, homophobia, transphobia and misogyny with lots of strong women leading the charge.
