Sitting through our Game 7 last night was soul crushing...but I don't think I'd even be a functioning human being if what happened to the Leafs happened to us last night. The only saving grace for Toronto was that it was on the road...and even that is zero consolation.

Awesome for the Leafs to get their first home playoff win in 9 years or so...and good in the sense that if we pull out Game 7 at home tomorrow the winner of Leafs/B's won't get an extra day of rest. Tickets secured for tomorrow, so I'll miss the Leafs game, but at least I'll get to see whatever...

Not even from beaten to a pulp though...look at our playoff history in the Ovechkin era. We eliminated the Rags in 5 games in 2010-11, then got swept by Tampa in 4 the same year. Other than that, 6 other series that have all gone 7 games. Just expect it.

The one he got JUST enough of a piece of with the glove was a game saver. I know everyone likes to hate on him cause he's young, but his body of work speaks for itself...he can't add 10 years to his resume in one series. We need to find a way to not put it on his shoulders though...and worse...

It would be nice to earn even 1 PP chance for us to try and "cash in". Our PK has been pretty good, but I thought the Rags actually had some better puck movement today than in Game 5 on the PP...still I understand the frustration when the PP comes up empty with that many chances all too...

Hillen and Erskine have been brutal at making smart decisions to get pucks out of our end. 1st period we spent too much time in the box, but that period we just got flat outplayed. Holtby and a couple of great D plays by Alzner and Carlson are the only reason it's only 1-0...well that and...

Come now, everyone embellishes in this league (although to be fair, the NHL isn't soccer). The only reason you pay attention to Ovechkin's embellishments is because he's Ovechkin. I was only pointing out there are far better examples of it. Fair point on the Isles outplaying you...at least...

Hahaha, Pierre is hard to tune out watching a game. It's always nice when he's not on the broadcast team. You spend a lot of time looking for Ovechkin "diving" gifs. I would imagine there have to be much better ones to troll with than him falling down, then getting up...and a stick actually...

I don't know about 95% of the game. At least half of the 3rd you could feel that push by the Pens slowly starting to wear on the Isles. By the end of the 3rd they looked like they were just holding on for OT. Granted the Isles did put some nice shifts together in OT, but the Pens did as well...

Isles blow it, they deserved better over the course of the whole game they were the better team tonight. Credit the Pens though (plus my prediction for the series ends up dead on).

Listening to Pierre slurp the Isles fans has reached over the top levels. Awesome atmosphere but he takes away from it with him being himself. As the Isles allow the Pens to tie it after dominating the first half of the period.

Man got home late only got a chance to see highlights of Wings/Ducks today. I just saw Wings up 3-1 in the 3rd and figured they coasted to forcing a Game 7. That series has been pretty crazy, 4 OT's and every Wings win was in OT. I did predict Ducks in 7 cause I know how much Boudreau loves...
