I'm telling you SOE is well aware that EQN isn't going to suck a ton of their players from EQ1/2. They also know that EQ1/2 are both long in the tooth. You do the math.

I told the dude: wait until you play in the beta against the combat AI before going nuts. I'd prefer EQ/VG combat myself but if the AI works out as designed almost everyone will enjoy this game for a while (me) and some people a long while (other people).

Speaking of LOL. 50% confidence that soe is also making eqn/moba where you can import your eqn character into an eqn moba. Hopefully this is not only pvp and they put in pvp continent as has been suggested.

I was just thinking of the regenerating dungeons down below. Tiny suggestion seems to be random loot for those guys (pure speculation) and itemized loot for the authored content/RCs. We'll see.

You are forgetting the MTG element and focusing too much on Pok?mon. They made it clear that some items you found would completely change your strategic possibilities. Like playing with or without five Moxen and a Lotus in your deck.

Exactly the vibe I got with the "Mos Eisley" comment. Founding Halas, Neriak, etc. etc. Neriak could be interesting because the "good guys" will be trying to stop the "bad guys" from founding it (well if SOE is smart and brings back Innoruuk for the DEs).

Did you or anyone in anyway see all of EQN coming? No. Me neither, and if you go back you'll see I predicted 60-70% of EQN and totally missed EQN/L. So clearly SOE is doing things differently with regards to this product.

Yes, they've done more. I don't know about a lot more. Crafting is almost completely done because it's going into EQN/L. I'm sure they're still working on the combat AI because they just hired the StoryBricks guys late last year (Oct/Dec? Not sure). So whatever the hell AI they were working...
