    Folger's Extravagant Swatch Thread

There's seriously a gator hunting season? I had no idea. Now I wanna come down an hunt gators.

Are gators protected? They're so plentiful down there you'd think they'd thank you for shooting them.

Brutul is a smart guy, and he's right. I didn't know you just got a new water heater, yeah tearing it out just for longer baths would be quite the indulgence. When my water heater goes, I'm going tankless for sure. There are some benefits, such as you're not constantly keeping a tank of water...

The only way to do that is to get tankless water heater. The heat on demand kind. Once you've filled your tub you've pretty much emptied the water heater you have, and it takes too long to heat up again to do what you want.

    What did you just read?

If you are looking for some fun, light reading that is well written and transports you to another place you should check out the series by Louise Penny about Inspector Gamache. She keeps cranking these books out like crazy, and they're incredibly diverting. I think there are 14 in the series at...

    Star Trek: Picard

I think DS9 was the first show that really had the long ark, multi season plots. It was amazing for that. There have been a few non scifi things that have done it, too. I think of something silly like Arrested Development. The deterioration of the model home was a constant, and things showed up...

    Star Trek: Picard

I see what you're saying, however I think subjective evaluations are fair game for television shows. Some people like something for reasons beyond me, and I can't understand that. Me thinking it's crap doesn't make it crap. Different shows appeal differently do different people. However, I...

    Star Trek: Picard

No. That's not fair. I like X tv show more than most other tv shows. They're all tv shows, all available to be viewed, I choose to watch X because I think it's the best offering. A literal turd sandwich is not in the same category as lasagna. A tv show compared to another tv show is the same...

    Star Trek: Picard

See, and I think you're reaching here. I'm saying that Star Trek, in general, is better than most television that is produced. I enjoy Star Trek more than most television that is produce. That's not a Red Herring. That's me making a comparison to similar things - they're both on tv, I like one...

    What vehicle do you drive?

I have a Hyundai Sonata, and if I work it just right, I can get it going without any gas. But it's tricky, slow clutch work. It's not diesel.

Sorry everyone. I didn't hate Picard. There's a lot of shitty TV out there, Picard wasn't as shitty as a lot of it. Was it best Trek? No. But I'd watch it again before a lot of shit that's on tv. I not only didn't just not hate it, there was quite a lot of it I enjoyed. Come at me.

I agree with this. I'd never buy it, as beautiful as it is. I'd rather have a practical, useable kayak. I'd pose for a calendar in it, though. :)

    What vehicle do you drive?

That's not built for acceleration. You could probably tow a house off its foundation if you wanted to. But don't expect to step on it and get thrown back in your seat.
