The issue is our timeline would have him dead, just like all of the countless timelines in Edge of Tomorrow. He only survives in 1 time line, but each time he resets, he's forming a "new" timeline. He's still dead in all of the other ones.

I thought that it was Omega blood at the end that got to him, not Alpha blood. So we all assume that he suddenly became the new Omega, and thus was able to reset himself even further back in the past.
