Finished this last night. It's.... fine. One of those rare shows where the flashbacks were more interesting than present day. The fight scenes are... bad. "The Code" is annoying. And as said above the power levels make no sense. But the world is interesting enough to make it watchable.

They "died" overnight because there are far too many now. When there are 50 its reasonable to assume some, or even most can find decent companies to bring public. When there are 700 that confidence dwindles rather quickly.

Just watched the first two episodes. Pretty good. Has kind of a BBC crime drama vibe to it. That grim, dark feeling surrounding seemingly "normal" people.

Haha it is TV-14, which is hilarious because in almost every episode it lists "nudity" next to the TV-14 rating and there was 0 nudity in this show.

Well the Darkling was just about to inject Alina when they were interrupted in that one scene so something tells me this show will have some sex in S2. There was a lot of innuendo and I'm pretty sure it has a TV MA rating

They end up falling for each other. Which is obviously a common literary theme. However there was no flow to the interactions and they just seemed smitten despite acting like they hated each other right from the start.

The Nina stuff was terrible because her and the Viking had this weird sexual chemistry right from the second he chained her up that made no sense and was completely contradictory to the words they were saying to each other.

They do a pretty bad job, or don't even attempt, to explain all of that in the show.
