It was the only combined hit skill in the game without a penalty. I'm pretty sure that was because they just forgot to add Viper Strike's (non trans) actual penalties to it. Which they now have done.

If planning on playing ele hit Id recommend buying a Venarius Astrolabe. Its got conflux and +3 levels. I think it's going to be in high demand. You can reliably get sap from the Heist shield if going block (any of the alt types actually) or you can get the new Unseen Hue ring.

Its actually changing the base type of the damage, so the less multiplier on combat focus shouldnt apply at all.

Well, Dom Blow and Absolution both have trans versions that are... kinda OP and abusable and nobody seems to like to use.

Uncharted 4 was fine. It was maybe slightly better than 3, but it was nowhere near as good as 1 or 2. 2 being one of my favorite games of all time and the story/dialogue/cutscenes/characters in the first 2 are great.
