Yeah, we use their apps instead of turning on a console. Before we cut the cord our Xbox One turned on and controlled everything via Kinect, now thanks to ARC the TV is the bossy one and the console is off. Netflix, Amazon and Youtube all work very well.

Pretty frustrated over the holiday with Google Fi on my 6p. Spent it in rural Colorado (81050) and had zero signal more often than I had just traces. Unless there's something obviously wrong with my phone I'll be headed back to a traditional carrier before any more family trips back there.

You may also need to turn components on in a certain order for it to start working right. That was my last dumb thing to figure out when I set it up a couple weeks ago. Now my TV remote controls the volume and turns my receiver off and on when it is turned off/on.

Anyone else have a hell of a time shopping for lower end TVs? I have to have new shiny stuff, so while my wife wants to just get the first $350-$399 50" Samsung set she can find, I'm over here recommending $500 4k sets for their speed and brightness as if I've got to use the thing myself.
