    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

that's a spoiler the same way that saying you go to london in this game is a spoiler. it's definitely telling you something about the game, but it doesn't really spoil... much of anything, really. that part he's talking about? i played that part for like 3 hours before i realized i was playing...

    The Mandalorian

well... there's some lore reasoning... bo-katan and kosko reeves are nite owls, where as the dude isn't it. nite owls is a female only group (not a clan specifically), which is why the girls have a very similar style of armor. the helms have that owl motif, whereas the dude is much more similar...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

that cinematic is basically the same kind of thing we've seen before. those characters are all expansion specific characters. MOP didn't even really that (unless the panda was chen?) BFA's cinematic was basically all people we knew because that's what the entire expansion was about.

    The Mandalorian

The armorer DOES have chest armor, it's just not as pronounced because she's also got a fur mantle over her shoulders and generally bulkier armor. Also the nite owls had already established armor. They had chests in the cartoons. The issue is silly and nonsensical and derived specifically from...

No youre right, there were a few women who could hold their own against the guys. Kaitlyn is still one of my favorites. The dude she married (and since divorced) really messed her up

    The Mandalorian

the dudes are generally still big and still ripped. at least in WWE. vince mcmahon loves him some big roided up men. the women are less body builders and more stunt doubles. what i mean is that even though you have some women who WERE body builders (alexa bliss, the 5'1" blonde posted by...

    The Mandalorian

this isn't really the place for a discussion about it, though it's sort of on topic... but that's what you get in an echo chamber. it started out being something good-spirited, "finally, a place where we can speak our mind and people won't attack us for it." except when you have no access to...

    The Mandalorian

i think the difference between pedro and gina's tweets is that gina's tweets are objectionally unoffensive and level-headed, where as pedro's tweet was subjectionally offensive. regardless of whether you disagree with trump, 72 million people just voted for him. that's a lot of potential fans to...

i haven't seen a single thing from anyone or anything saying that katie acts like that. everything i've seen from her she comes across as a laidback tomboy who smokes pot

you get a bunch of carbon ingots, so you can upgrade everything up from the trash tier to the next level. i'm at like, 103-ish, and i've only found 5 of the next upgrade metal.

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

for what it's worth, the only one of those issues i've had is that once or twice someone was holding an axe impossibly. one person was sharpening an axe that was floating about an inch our of her hand, and the other, dag was holding two axes in the same hand.

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

one of the abilities, i think it's called valkyrie's fall or something similar? you jump up and smash down on a target for pretty heavy damage, it also staggers them and can knock down weaker targets either outright killing them or setting them up for a stun kill. that works pretty well on those...

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

in general terms, yes, i think as a series it should lean into more mythology. that being said, God of War went so heavy into the mythology that i feel if they did that with valhalla it would feel like a rip off. this way, it still is occupying it's own space

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Yeah. I like the dude who "won" a fight with someone but ended up with an axe in his head. He's still alive, if a bit aloof. He asks you to help him with whatever is giving him a headache so you pull the axe out and he dies. Good times.

    Destiny 2 - Clan Link 1st Post

Destiny has an INCREDIBLY in depth story that weaves and bobs in really great ways. Except it's all hidden in 3 paragraph lore cards that are further hidden in overly monotonous activities. (Forge 100 black armory weapons)

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

the axe throw ability actually feels pretty useful. first off it hits multiple targets so it's good in a crowd, and secondly the final attack is useful even against single targets because it's got a hefty stun attached to it. the legendary elk in norway has a habit of charging you, but the axe...

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

yeah, first time around i got through norway in just a handful of hours. i restarted because of a bug and ended up spending close to 12 hours in norway collecting all the stuff i could. there's still stuff in norway that the animus wouldn't let me get to, so that's a lot of stuff

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

yeah, the default control scheme is TERRIBLE. i don't know why they changed it from odyssey. i tried to go by the default but i just couldn't keep it together. i changed it basically to that, but the only problem is that when you pick something up, like a body or a jar or box or something, you...

no. i just started over and spent the day exploring norway. so, the fix is, don't play that part of the game yet. edit: i just saw on reddit, some people were having the same issue and that changing your world settings from low to ultra fixed it. i haven't tried it yet so i can't say whether it...

after you get to england and, what i assume is find your settlement to start... my game just... stops doing anything. you go through a cutscene where you meet a stableman and a merchant and invite them to join your settlement, the cutscene ends and me, dag and sigurd are just standing there in a...

yeah the ship combat in ac3 was like a mini-game in content. with black flag the jackdaw almost felt like a character in and of itself.

    (2020) Assassin's Creed Valhalla

the first 3 AC games are all connected pretty closely but after that they become self-contained stories, though the animus current day stories are all connected. black flag is my favorite of the "old style" of AC. the story has like, little to nothing to do with anything else going on and the...

there WAS a thread on this... i commented on it after i saw the movie in theatres... it's here somewhere... anyway, it's actually a pretty good movie. shia's extremely decent in it. i actually really appreciated his character, going out of his way to NOT show special care to... erm... whatever...

    The Mandalorian

i keep forgetting to mention... what on earth was mando thinking, waiting so long to use his flamethrower... that should have been the go to weapon. he should have just stood there at the pool just cindering all those spiders, but no. he uses his pistol to shoot one at a time.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

I played Andromeda a couple years after it released. They fixed a bunch of the bugs and super goofy facial animations stuff but it still wasn't anything great. The Mandalorian

yeah. my point is that the design choice doesn't fit the medium. that's why people get so irritated that... well... nothing happened. it's totally fine to have isolated "______ of the week" shows but when there's only a handful of them, there's barely any time for any kind of reason for the...

    The Mandalorian

stories like this one are perfectly acceptable in a more regular medium, like bi-weekly comics or 23 episode seasons. when there's only 8-10 episodes per year, every single minute counts or else it feels wasted. basically what happened in this episode was that the razor's crest got broken and he...

    The Mandalorian

correct. vibroblades are basically standard weapons. if someone has access to a blaster, they have access to a vibroblade. the question is whether or not cortosis is still a thing, because otherwise even with the normal resistance of a vibroblade, lightsabers still cut through them easily enough
