EQ2 handled that pretty good. Dungeons broke off and created a 2nd instance after like 50-100 folks were in the zone. That seemed to help.

But again, when your server is a ghost town and you've invested all that time in your character, what's your solution?

If leveling is slowed way down which I hope it is, what do you expect players that put tons of time in on their character on a dead server to do? Reroll??

If server sizes are capped, they should do like rift and offer free transfers once a week or something just in case yours becomes desolate.

This. With SOE its ALWAYS a good idea to be skeptical. Even if its good when they release it, they've proven time and again to be able to run shit into the ground.

In dungeons you can get the same piece of loot with some randomized stats. You may have to run them multiple times to get the stats you want on certain pieces. But yes, the gear seems to be +betterer stats in this game. You also get to place your own skill points into stats as well.
