I have sli 570s and if the game was using only 1 then I'm fine. The engine was smooth on the alpha servers any my framerates were consistently 40-60 at all times even with a lot of people on screen and spell effects.

Sli and cf aren't supported for this benchmark I've read.

It was hard to tell how bad the game looked graphically over the feed. It appears to be better than GTA4.

I totally agree on raid and progression mobs being instanced. But having a world big enough where guilds cant lock down contested mobs...is that even possible? I'd like to think it could be. I know these games aren't real life or anything but even with cars and such, travel still takes some...

Those specs wont impress PC gamers, but games optimized for consoles will make some of our PC games look bad. If they can squeeze decent graphics out of systems like the 360/PS3 with 512 mb or Ram and weak GPUs, what can they do with modern hardware, with custom CPUs and GPUs and fast memory...

If they do all that at 399.99 its a wrap and they're back to PS1 status in the industry.

I get that travel can be tedious. But if the game is designed as a huge, open world sandbox type game, how do you prevent the power guilds from locking down all the content if they can just warp all over the world? What is your alternative?

I'm usually a Nintendo fan, but I'm impressed. The graphics are far better then what the previous gen allowed. The specs are gonna make pc ports easier and not as dumbed down. All in all, I'm pre-ordering this.

The penalty comes from killing a player of your own faction. PVP against other factions is full loot FFA AFAIK.

EQOA was the business and better than 80% of the crap that passes for an MMO today.

I don't think classes need to go at all. I think classes give a game flavor. I'm sick of every character being able to do everything. That's what alts are for. If your world is big enough, you can see a ton of content you didn't see the first time.
