I saw the original at the cinema, back in the day.
And having seen it again recently * , it's a great film.
* On an aside, the recent watching, was a 1080 HD re-master. Holy crap there's some good detail when Daryl Hannah is walking around naked.
Watched it again just a week ago. Just made me hunger for more.
In a way the fact that it had a modest budget and was therefore only showing a small part of the world, Dredd's world. Leaves so much potential for future films / series
I got no plans to see this film . . . I could see it's bad just from the trailer. A quick skim of this thread seems to confirm that.
Hey just so you guys know, this thread has got 76 pages ( by the settings I'm using ) Which makes it more than Fury Road, and virtually 3 times as much as the...
Hmm, didn't realize how long ago this was released.
Finally got around to seeing it just this weekend. As the film starts, I was a little surprised when I realized that they were doing it, with Roger doing his documentary / movie about finding some form of closure re: his Father's death -...
Eva Cassidy - Fields of Gold
The words and theme of the song strike such a poignant level, when you consider that she died of cancer less than a year after recording this.
Bit of dust just blew in my eyes here.

Was going to say that best episode ( only good one perhaps ) of season 2 was the one with the Park Ranger family.
When I saw that one, I thought they were setting up a template for episodes where they would encounter small groups of survivors and be with them / in contact with them /...
And yeah, but that's not going to explain the bigger question of how a computer virus ( which David himself seemed to have, from that I assume that it was pre-existing ) could work on totally alien computer systems.
And remember that it shut down / locked up the entire system, which is a...
I finally got to see this.
Yeah, kinda captured some of the feel of the original. But then the SFX at times just felt over done and became a Michael Bay style shit shower. I did like some of the new characters and the 'altered tech world'.
But parts of the script felt like they were from...
Huh, following on from those warnings of films not to watch . . .
Tonight I watched Kingsmen - the Secret service.
Good film! highly recommend!!
I know there's been plenty of praise for it on these boards, add me to the list of fans
The BBC should have just paid that guy that got punched, a fuck-ton of hush money.
Looking at the mess it all is now, you could have justified giving him $10 Million. And they would be better off.
As a kid we used to watch those movies he'd done with Terrance Hill. We called them the Trinity movies - from the more well known Trinity Brothers film IIRC
I did a read up on him just a few months back during some nostalgia. Surprised to see the young pictures of him being incredibly fit, he...
Is that for parking bad, or for driving one of those ugly Jukes??
Be a good trick really, quick and really easy to do. And car's owner would have to find themselves a cutter.

not related:
Watched the F1 movie Rush tonight.
I had seen it at the cinema when it first came out. And I had been meaning to see it again. Great film, plus an added thing is:
Re: King's Landing firestorm, if it happens.
A guess I have is that Jamie, who did his speech about wanting to get back to his sister.
Will arrive just a few minutes too late and see the place / palace going up in flames killing his beloved Cersei.
Simple set-up / pay off.
Looks like someone who's studying film theory at University wrote that. "I know, I can impress the guys on Reddit with this . . ."
It's all interesting and all, with a lot of work put into it. But it's all just conjecture, 100% conjecture. Based on what? Kit Harrington's performance here and...
I suspect the Lego people . . .
Think about it, all they need to do is cast the C3PO that they already have, with no change to any detail, just with one arm in a different color.
Again I found the two car review guys ( new Chris and Rory ) to be the better part of the show.
The cross Europe drive / race seemed like they got their wires crossed in the planning. It used to be Clarkson in one really good car and the other two in public transport. This time it was one...
Also to consider is that the Stig coaches the celeb drivers who are doing the star in a reasonably priced car.
So the cat would be out of the bag pretty quick when they heard the Stig talking in a female German accent.
They've now entered stage 2. Change the chemistry and see if that fixes the problem.
In truth I did like the segments with 'new' Chris and Rory, and giving them more screen time can help. Just that it might became a situation where there's too many faces.
That video of him falling over and then the crowd's confusion was pretty troubling to watch.
