There was that fucking silent film that won best picture a few years back, the one that we've all forgotten about.
A silent film??
It's like:
2016 Detroit car show: Here is the new model release from the Ford motor company . . . A model T
The trailer really does give the look / impression that the bulk of the film is inside this bunker. So it's a film set in a small space with only 3 cast members?
Which all seems to be a massive step away from the first film.
Until we get more info from some more trailers or something, I'm...
In likelihood it's not going to win best picture, that will go to some arty drama snore fest.
It's like the academy needs to show their intellectual superiority.
I'd be very happy to be proven wrong though . . . thinking back, the LOTR Return of the King won best picture so perhaps.
In the trailer, one thing I can't make out is that there looks to be a name on the top landing of the stairs. like a Subway station name set into the floor.

Edit: okay, was able to grab a screen of it, it's only 'Welcome'
Yeah, I got a bunch of greys in my beard hair, luckily my head is still looking like 'there's only a few in places'
I look 10 years older if I let my beard grow any more than 3 days.
Oh and my own recent getting old experience was that I found something, when I was doing a major cleaning...
Christ 2016, what are you playing at! you're not making any friends here, it's only 1/2 way through January and we've lost Bowie, one of our own finest Gravy and now Alan Rickman.
2016, you better get better soon.
I knew that Phantom Menace was rubbish, while I was watching it in the cinema. It wasn't even half in and I was angrily saying to myself "I waited 16 years for this??"
- 16 years since ESB -
Plus I clearly recall conversations with people in the following days that were all negative.
Well I finally watched this today.
To explain, I love the LOTR trilogy. It's one of the best cinema going periods of my life, getting to watch those three films. But with the Hobbit films I quickly lost interest. I did go and see the first 2 in the cinema. But by the time 'battle of the 5...
Well then now that you've got their address, you can send them something to let them know how you feel.
There's packages of shit you can send ( I do mean actual shit - animal excrement )
There's other types of packages that sort of burst open when you go to open them, filling the room with...
That was a film wasn't it . . . Fanboys.
Had a bunch of guys trying to get their dying friend to see Star Wars, but it was made for Phantom Menace. Which robbed a ton of appeal out of it.
In truth though, an idea I can think of is that Media reviewers do get a Blu-Ray ( I think - or a good...
I can remember seeing the trailer for 'Star Trek - Nemisis' and when I saw them driving around in a 4WD dune buggy, I was like:
"Nope, not going to see that!! Who puts a dune buggy in a Star Trek movie, Jesus!"
And this one has a motocross bike . . . reaction about the same.
I don't even know if this is new news:
Lauren Cohan now has short hair, soperhapsa spoiler, does Maggie die soon???
Or just get her hair cut in the show, either one could happen.
She did do it IRL for some role in a film.
Good on Buzz for hitting that guy.
Those Apollo program guys fully risked their lives to go to the moon. There's a rocket built into the lander to lift them back up to the command module. When they did the Apollo 11 landing, that design of rocket had been tested in the vacuum of space 6 times...
I went looking for this TV ad to post in the 80's music thread. But found it and it was made in 1990. So I can't really post it there. But it brought a big smile to my face watching this so I figured I'd share. I like it.
It's an ad for an Australian radio network - from 25 years ago.
