I just refuse to approve code if I don't think it's up to snuff. I've done it many times. If the boss thinks it's ok then so be it, I let him approve it.
We also require every code review is approved by two reviewers and our git hooks won't let a check-in occur without a completed code review...
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you aren't trolling and aren't from the US

Got it working today.
Had to add a single goddamn function call to my code to load the specific algorithm we needed. Fuck you openssl, and fuck your shitty documentation.
Also a secondary fuck you to EDK2 for being built in such a way that you can't customize openssl
Had a local pizza places steak arrabiata pizza (steak, hot peppers, tomatoes, white sauce). One of the best pizzas I've ever had. For the mccheeses of the world this isn't a Sysco pizza, this place makes pizza with real ingredients. More expensive.
Debugged maybe 40 hours over the last 3 days since code freeze was yesterday and here I am... And finally it works
I won't get into the gory details, but basically I wrote code that worked months ago. Some team was doing work that uses my code and didn't test until Tuesday of this week...
For what it's worth I've had a Ducky Shine 4 for 4 or 5 years now and I havent had a single issue. Plus all the rgb lighting is hardware controlled and zero software, which was important to me
