That's the thing though, I don't think they were salty. Harassment is just part of the metagame of classic Everquest now. Sidenote: SJW's have ruined the word harassment for me.

This is what every raid was like when we had rules... The drama that resulted from this shit was mindblowing. Six months after we left the server I still had 30 year old dudes trying to email emu server admins to get me banned from wherever I played, shitting up my youtube video...

Mages won't win dps races. It's all about SK/Wiz and maybe Enchanter depending on how memblur is seen by the staff.

I think that's actually the best way to experience the server. Just relax and soak up some nostalgia.

We killed nagafen with a few 40ish mages like 3 weeks ago. Still works. Expect nagafen to die in approx 72 hours from server launch. Maybe less.

Getting LAA's in old content is pretty arduous. Leading every TFO raid from Classic - OOW I got only a handful if that. Granted we didn't spend a lot of time farming but still. Don't expect to see people grinding out LAA'S on Nagafen and co.

Newbie armor was in for like two weeks before being removed. A lot of the newbie armor is better than planar gear though.

Yeah in some regards I'm dreading having to fill the role of a GL. TL already has 120+ members. If there is only one server their members w/ boxes will account for like 10-20% of all characters. I'm assuming we'll see two servers though.

It was 3 months for Kunark to open, all subsequent unlocks were 2 months, after bosses died ofc. The SoE hack happened during classic and they increased classic time by the two weeks it was down as a result. Crone, Phoenix, Vaclav do you have a plan for this server? Premade group or guild...

Has anyone finished all of the chalice dungeons? I killed the Pthumerian Queen etc but I haven't really messed with the dungeons I didn't have to do in order to access her.

For some reason DS2 isn't as fun after Bloodborne. I got SOTFS for PS4 with the intent of going for the platinum trophy and after a few hours I just don't have the desire to play. Also, durability bug for the lose.

Honestly the original three months of classic on Vulak had even pretty casual players thinking it was too slow. I don't know what people expect, you could have classic for one month, six months or two years and it won't matter. Raid mobs will all die between days 3-7 and then that same guild...

We finished Sky in April. Server first was 22MAR2011 I've still got some videos of us doing Bazzt and Hand, no Eye videos though. EoV was unfortunately a joke by the time you got to her. I loved Sky loot. Those quested haste belts were awesome.

You're right on the VP time. Just checked, it took 9 days for the server first PD kill. For comparison, Kunark launched in April 2000 and LoS got their first VP dragon kill on 28 October.

Maybe I'm just thinking of specific examples but I recall AoW dying a handful of times before SoL, Trak took like two or three months by the LoS archive I believe. Whereas these were dying day one on TLP. I think EoE and co did VP with 13 people btw. Not sure the charm glitches were a big deal...

Remember for the most part it took months to get those raid mobs down. Killing VP mobs during Kunark, or even Gore took a while. On TLP it took like 3 days. Also respawns are half the time of classic.

CT does not DT on prog. He has a 10k Harm Touch sort of spell which acts the same for PC'S though. You can charm Irak Altil who has 32khp and hits for like 150-320. We have a video of Across doing it somewhere.

I mean, I've been planning for a new progression server since we left the previous one, but if it releases pre august I most likely won't be able to play. Also the prospect of TL and EoE teaming up is interesting. It would be challenging to beat them since like 90% of all hardcore progression...

Necro dps won't be bad even early. Your pet should be OP, your taps are good even in Sky I believe and you can duo Cazic Thule (the raid mob) at 50 with a Cleric, so that's pretty cool.

I think they nerfed mage pets a bit like 1.5 years ago. To put it in perspective you could kill Nagafen with three earth mage pets around like 45-46.

It's so long ago man, I was a teenager when we started on Vulak. Maybe we'll be on the same side this time if we both play? Crone is Decayed. Also I'm sad to hear TL is doing it with EoE. Where's the competition going to come from?

I think PvP is probably the only realistic solution to the raid issues they saw before. However I also suspect a pvp progression server would be a major failure.
