She came off as a woman asserting her authority on a side of the world where men dominate everything and laying claim to something shes worked for the last 6ish years or so in the show to take. I think it's important to Dany and crew that shes not viewed as being like her father. Even John Snow came in with the attitude that they were one in the same and going in and melting the red keep and all around it would be exactly what the Mad King would do.
