Yes, the viewing angle and picture quality is waaaaaaaaaay better. I got a 144 Hz GSync TN for my primary (read: gaming) monitor and a 27" 2560x1440 IPS as my second monitor for video and browsing, it looks so much better.

Bridge of Spies is up for best picture? I found it to be pretty mediocre myself. I'm probably completely wrong but it felt like they left out things or bent facts to make the narrative fit the story they wanted. I liked it, just doesn't seem like a best movie of the year nominee.
