As the tank? or just as a dps slot? In the first case they're probably on average the highest dps tank, for the 2nd it'll be mediocre since they're dps on raids is more about burn damage, not sustained.
SKs might be the single overall strongest class on these TLP servers when raid geared. They do so much. They tank, pull, dps, can solo difficult individual mobs better than most.
You're more of a tank than dps in classic/kunark, and sort of mediocre, but not terrible melee dps in velious. In Luclin you're the same as Velious except when you have Trueshot Disc you're a real dps. Once you hit PoP you're the top DPS by a lot. In LDoN the gap between Rangers and other...
I agree in general, but with Devotion you just need permanents of a certain color. The fact that almost no blue permanents that were regarded as good enough over 2 sets and the deck still being good says something.
I sort of enjoyed the Blue devotion deck when Theros first came out. The problem was after 2 additional sets the deck was still like 68/75 identical at the end of the format.
SK epic is retarded because of the Marl parts. And without the 1.5/2.0 happening on this server, it makes it even less exciting, but not having your best dps weapon in kunark is kind of shitty.
CT almost always has some SKs in it. Any of the high level lizards around the main temple are PHs for Crusaders that can drop decayed armor, plus the Ritualist in the Maze always drops 2 pieces of decayed.
Not amazing or easy dps on average since they don't have their archery stuff yet. They aren't terrible dps though since they still get to melee and cast some dps spells so it's not awful, but they're not super exciting either. They make fine group content tanks for the most part unless you're...
AAs. Time bow, Crafted Arrows and a Fleeting Quiver. If it's a fight they can disc on they can be as much as 30-40 percent ahead of Monks/Wizards etc and even if they don't they're usually ahead. Monks and casters get to catch back up a little in LDoN due to augs and stuff, but it's not the...
There's a pulldown menu where it says Crescent Reach and you can choose the old starting town. Also need to make sure to toggle the tutorial off as well.
I mean everything is so trivial it doesn't really matter, but just be aware that rogues bring almost no utility and are lower dps than most of the other dps classes.
It's not really that simple, even by raid fights it varies by specific raid mobs. But in general on raids in Classic it's mostly Wizards and Necromancers doing most of the work. Once Kunark hits, a lot of the fights are lure fights so it's Monks on those fights and Necros and Wizards on the...
In Kunark on Ragefire he was in Kaladim turning in many, many bags of bonechips and was like the first to 55 or whatever and then a GM despawned the npc. The quest xp thing didn't get nerfed till later though when on Phinny there was some crazy nonsense with Fire beetle eyes and Red wine...
Not sure if this helps, but there's some nostalgia involved, but it's had years of live coding and QOL shit added that it's very different in many ways than it was in 1999. It's EQ lite now and you can just tourist it if you wanted.
I'll be honest, the indirect pvp shit that happens on these servers is the best part. Introducing your friends at Efreeti to some FIre Giants and spiders is good fun.
I mean it's not always so aggressive, you go long stretches without any bullshit but if you're at a primo loot camp or if you've had previous encounters with someone you can expect nonsense to happen sometimes. It's good to be prepared.
