The only ones that are a challenge are "Shypox"(this one just makes the game longer), "all enemies are super strong" , and obviously "No running away" the shopping becomes a problem if trying to do all sidequest, most of them you have too...

Man the US PS4 version runs so much smoother over the JP release, they have done a ton of optimizations too it. Yes it does get much harder after a certain point, unless your a DQ vet I wouldn't play with the harder version config(The money one is fine but that's probably it.)

Investigations are not considered full-on hunts, they were called expeditions(in past MH's, but you could still 3 x out from it in 4/4U) makes it alot better when wanting to track-down monsters.

It's a really great game overall(I've played the jp version), you can set AI for every character(great for grinding out the LMS's woo) but it seems the Western release is getting a bunch of stuff, enhanced inventory control, more options for "harder" versions of the game, a fucking RUN button...
