Ok so im back in action. The CPU actually survived despite being turned on three times until I realized the problem. I was shocked by this. I spent a few hours dealing with BIOS and CMOS, installing the H100i... it sure is a lot quieter too. Good experience but I am getting too old for this...

So I got the CPU and the Corsair cooler but I actually need to replace the original mounting brackets before I can put the thing in there. Fucking dumb. The $300 heatsink doesn't come with all the required mounting pieces?

This was the out of the box heatsink mind you. I don't do any overclocking or anything like that.

It looks like the weight of the heatsink+cpu heat gradually weakened the brace.

Actually, it wasn't the tension but the plastic frame thing that holds the heatsink in place. Which then caused it to lose tension.

Nevermind I found it. The tension latch on my heatsink came undone and gravity did the rest. RIP cpu. It had been sitting in this position for 5 or so years.

This morning. My PC just shut off in the middle of doing something. It will turn on but then quickly turns off. Where do I start looking for issues?

The longevity of an ARPG game lives or dies by its ability to make the grind fun and engaging. Its why people still love the super bloated over complex Path of Exile. Its why D2 was so good. D3 sucked at that hard... so everyone is hoping that somewhere in Bliz they decided to actually do what...

You only ever needed to flood rooms if you didn't have the right soil anyway. If you flood it and let it dry out the soil becomes something you can plant in. Most caves will have this somewhere unless you use the desert biome or something where its 6 floors of sand.
