It's not even that. There's just no real reason to raid mythic anymore outside of killing the hardest bosses in the game. Back in the day that gear made you more powerful in all aspects of the game. Now it makes you better at raids.

It does seem like a 4 legendary soft cap is in place. I know a ton of people with 4 and 0 with 5 or more.

Never had a problem, even when gaming 12 hours a day. Must just have good posture I guess. It's good because I play guitar and carpal tunnel would be crippling. My old roommate got into wow really bad playing 16 hours most days he didn't work. He had to get surgery after just 1 year.
