Carrots are probably the worst vegetable on earth. They taste the same no matter how you cook them. Unless they've been soaking in a stew for 2 hours or pickled/candied. Otherwise carrots suck. Edited to make it more clear that I meant pickled/candied carrots are delicious.

I cook whole chickens in my slow cooker all the time. When they're done I hit em with my food torch to crisp up the skin. Pork loin I would recommend doing in the oven though. Every time I've tried to do a pork loin in the slow cooker it hasn't come out well. But maybe I just suck at cooking...
