Saw mounted, leveled, ready to rock. Felt like shit today, so took it easy and only worked 10 hours. I'll fire it up when I get home from work tomorrow and see what we get.

Decided to check my home's value on Zillow since I got some bullshit on my discover account about "unlocking 440k of value outta my home" or some nonsense. Turns out, Zillow has me sitting at 471k for value. Which is hilarious, because I had trouble getting a fucking appraisal over 300k a year...

I saw a lot of this on Reddit, but sure seems like fucking hopium for me. Label created for Crimson scales 7 days ago, zero movement. Now the UPS site is just straight up shitting the bed whenever I try to do anything with it. Dice Throne still sitting at "address is locked" and nothing...

Norseman drill bits will drill thru 3.5 chainsaw bars. Just FYI. So, one hole is 25/64" instead of 3/8". Don't forsee that being an issue. Got the mount reinforced for the new saw, glue setting up now. Should be able to put it together and see if it will run up and down the saw mount...

Nah, I have the rerolled version too. Shadow Theif rolls 2-6's on their defense roll and goes Into The Shadows, which means you take no damage. Goes away at the end of YOUR next roll phase. So, if the guy right after you hits you, possible you're immune until it comes back around to you.

King of the hill mechanics make it pretty interesting at any player count, honestly. Although, Shadow Theif being OP in 1v1 is even more ridiculous in FFA. Can't hit me...and neither can anyone else this round!

Nah, it ain't about that at all. That would obviously be the easy way. This is for my kids. As I get older, I'm spending more time thinking about what I leave behind. No one's gonna remember what I did at work, but my kids are always gonna remember the nightstands and tables that used to be...

So, it took me the better part of 2 hours to A) get that saw started, and B) tune it up so it purrs like a kitten. It is still C) putting out an absolutely nonsensically excessive amount of bar oil even on the lowest output setting, but I can't see that being too terrible of a problem ripping...

Eh, I had a similar situation. I put in my notice with zero intent of negotiation beyond that. I was a union employee, so it's not like they can just change union rules to fit me. About a day later, I was told "well, hold on a minute, what if we created something for you that solved all of...

Well, it was an easy decision. That Husky is a fantastic saw, and about as big as I ever wanna be carrying around. I'll probably keep it forever. This thing? This thing is fucking dumb. It's the size of a goddamned chainsword, and it's like 35lbs. It's also made with all of the tight...

Lotta women are like that. They'll talk about "how we work so well together" and that "you're perfect for me" without ever fucking considering that they're not perfect for you. And then lift no fingers to make any effort to work towards that. My ex was like that, and despite damned near 2...

Also, some Chinese knockoff company makes a 92cc Stihl clone for $360. I think I can put a 36" bar on there and do the rest of this project with that. Why the fuck not? Who cares if it only lasts 20 cuts...that's literally all I need it for! Fucking lol Amazon.com: Holzfforma 92cc Blue...

Yep, I got it now. Back in business. I think the grinder I had wasn't putting the hook on. The first run at sharpening got it passable. After I finish this log, I'll do it again before the next one and I should be in a good spot. Just these logs left...then the big fuckers.

It's been an interesting dive into stuff. I'd just drop it off to be sharpened, but it's a rip chain which is really unusual in the cities, and I don't want them to fuck it up. Because it's a rip chain, it's not available at any retail outlets here, so I have to order it online. I'd normally...

My insurance guy tried to get me to set one up a couple years ago, but I was still recovering from the divorce and didn't have enough liquid to open the account comfortably. I can divert to 40% US stocks today, and cut the bond shit to near nothing, so I'll do that for now, and re-explore the...

No 401k. Defined benefit pension, so that's taken care of. IRA isn't a poor idea anyway though, as that's what I was going to do anyway until this came along and seemed like less work. i'll see what they have if they can turn everything to IVV, because a good chunk of it is already in that.

So far so good, just a bit slow going. Gotta let the bar cool off in between cuts, and now it's time to take a crash course in chain sharpening. But, the results have been nothing shy of spectacular. All that stuff standing up is the first cut off the top of the log, or the leftovers of the...
