Moreso today than 15 years ago. Nearly all major infrastructure like this is designed to scale as needed and then be discarded as needed. Sure you might get some angry sperging from forced server merges. But you would have zero of these problems.

Yeah I think my PS4 is fucked somehow now. No idea why it's causing so much issues now. Plays perfectly fine then just crashes. I bought the recommended SSD for it. Not finding anything online about this issue either.

Deleted and reinstalled iceborne, still no sound. Fixed it when I used another PS4UPDATE after installing the system on the new SSD. Weird shit.

I installed the SSD last night and everything went well. But now I get no sound in Iceborne and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I get sound on the home screen just fine but not in iceborne.

Yeah, but do you do that from the PS interface or within the game? I was looking around for the option this morning before I left for work and it didn't seem to be in an obvious spot.

All of the weapon changes are genuinely good. I never liked longsword before. I'll be hitting up Gunlance next. Probably start using all of the weapons again!

Getting the hang of effective Longsword counters is quite difficult and frustrating. It's awesome when you pull it off though.

Just discovered the Trailrider mechanic. Mind blown. You can borrow the Palico mount to super speed you across any map.

I really hated Nightmare Paolumu. Since he has diminishing returns on flashpod, how are you supposed to keep him attackable on the ground for more than 10 seconds at a time. Spam Cltuch Claw was kind of annoying and tedious.

Yeah I am running Longsword this time. Longsword and Hammer are just sooooooo much more satisfying with the Clutch Claw. Fuck yeah baby. LBG for range.

Decided I wanted to make my own sandwich meats. Opting for roast beef as I can now make roast beef and cheddar melts with liberal helping of horseradish. First attempt in some years and this one was a little off of ideal. High temp short time cooking is always best for this though imo.
