I just watched the whole vid, there are no random items! That could be really great if the old EQ guys are making stuff. EQ had so many great items.

It is a solid idea. The worldgen / history is straight out of dwarf fortress. Not thrilled by the art, but going 2D does save a ton of money. If they can do interesting quests (and that's a big if), there will be lots of replay value. The key is to make them unique so you can't just spoiler...

What sort of pathfinding problems are they solving? I've never had A* let me down. Dataset generation maybe? The stuff that comes with Unreal is pretty good for that. They voxelize and build a simple navmesh. It isn't always accurate but they raycast to the feet so people don't walk on air etc.

2 wins 11 losses since I finished ranking. BTW to turn on nerdvoices, you have to hit P and click some tiny icon. Doesn't really help though.

It looks like I lose 7ish points when I lose and gain 30-40 when I win, so I guess I placed low

ended up at 2226 with 5/5, never got voice to work Only a couple of the games were close. Usually it was a terrible team on one side or the other, so mostly luck of the draw.

I decided winning outweighed the annoyance of nerdvoices. I turned on voice, but I've yet to hear anything. Is there some extra step?

I like Northern Gaming Red, so I went back in the vods to see what happened to them. Turns out Method were the ones that beat them haha. Your brother had a crazy diva bomb that they all complained about.

The randomy stuff is still there yea. I have most of my deck stacked with my 2 best damage spells and sometimes they just will not come up, like when I'm fighting several earth elementals. I have some earth spells in there as well and the elementals are immune so I'm constantly hammering reset...
