That's nice, but the publishers aren't going to burn retailers like that. Until then I expect those who want to go all digital will essentially pay a premium to do so, while those who want digital and a lower price day one as a reward for doing so will be left wanting (me included).

I think they'll pivot to some of these options in the fairly near future post-launch, but going to them now rather than the simplified mea culpa would just cause more confusion. I've still seen people say they don't allow used games and you have to be always online and neither were ever true.

Probably grab the Vita games because they're $5, they're not sports games though so even then I hesitate because they'll probably be free via PSN+ at some point

I don't see them ever giving away a ton of content on 360 since they don't require your to maintain a subscription to access it. Remains to be seen how comparable the services will end up being on the next gen consoles.

Also, if you have any problems running things right after installing 8.1, be sure to install and windows updates. Steam wouldn't work until I did, for example.

Heh, stay away from the Vita - possibly the best PS4 accessory - if proprietary stuff upsets you so much. Their memory card scheme is probably the worst case of forcing something proprietary in the last couple console generations.

Friend at E3 that used both, prefers the 360 controller current gen, ranks them PS4 > 360 > One. Said your could feel the edges more or something on the One controller, just didn't fit in your hand as well and was kinda hard to explain.
