Well I bought Cecil's 6* mats this morning, which means I'm definitely not going to pull him during his banner. Still need 1 more fire megacryst for barfira, but I'll just go get that from Westersand I guess, since I could potentially get every megacryst EXCEPT fire from the monastery...

I have one or two 6* lightnings on my list with barrage, I'm guessing that's my only shot at clearing the highest difficulty exploration. Although one thing is pretty funny. Just like in FF4, looks like I can have Kain jump to dodge Binding Cold, so I won't have to bother with anti-paralysis gear.

The announcement specifically says 'players can now obtain these new materials' then lists the 6 new 5* mats, so I don't think 6* mats will drop from pro awakening. I think the Babel event has a chance to drop them, but I can't double check because the news post is blank for me since the patch...

I had assumed pro awakening was just going to be a timesink for the new 5* mats, but it seems like it's a pretty good source of holy/sacred crystals too.

You'll probably have better results just banging it out with Zoth pally. You can tweak it to improve the matchup against aggro quite a bit.

Whee all espers at 2*. Also finished my first hero ring and have two more cooking. Advanced exploration is every bit as ridiculous for mats as pro is for rank xp. So, what do you train on Ifrit after you have the two killer skills? Does it even matter at that point since your hero only gets 1%...
