I got far enough into book one to be just past where the narrative is in the show and anything I thought was dumb about the show isn't present in the book (the action sequence generator repair mostly).
edit - yeah, this is way better
So people like the books, right? I popped in to check out the show and it's alright but if the books are good I'll just plow those rather than waiting week to week.
I don't understand why Kunark has +25% more loot and that stays at +25% until eleven unlocks later when in The Serpent's Spire it goes all the way to 200%. You get +25% faster AA in Luclin and then fourteen unlocks later it goes to +50%. I get that the idea is the hook gets more and better bait...
If this is to decrease usage of customer service resources I've got bad news for them. Invulnerable mobs and people using high aggro beneficial spells to soft unlock targets will generate a lot of fucking petitions. You just know that some of this shit is going to bug out in the locked position...
Alright, you lost the tag race. Unfortunate. Guess you have to have one of your Enchanters chain-rune the enemy main tank or your Clerics heal him until the encounter soft unlocks from them stealing aggro.
I'm hoping they announce that they do not believe FTE is likely to meet their high standards in time for launch so it will be implemented later and by later I mean it is quietly murdered with a pillow when no one is looking.
Yeah and I had the UI flicker as well. I found it incredibly annoying.
I didn't know that if your puller dropped group the mob would only remain locked to him and the group would be fucked. I know the plan is to have shit soft unlock if it is attacking you but we've got a couple examples now...
You're going to be three hours in to your premade after a typically shitty launch where you have to fight just to get everyone online on the same page in the same zone and an encounter is going to bug and wipe the group and the Cleric is going to /q on the spot and never log back on to Oakwynd...
I think there's a lot of people that would have a better time if they pretended the second server was called Mischief. I hear it launched in TBS with free trade and random loot.
Not really looking like they're going to juice the perks each expansion has baked in plus things are a mess on Test with only two weeks to go. This is looking like a rough one.
I don't get why we didn't get a big, proper FAQ + announcement page for this one. Compare to
https://www.everquest.com/news/eq-vaniki-server-faq
All the rules for the server plus the FAQ at the end.
What I was expecting was something very artificial in its implementation. Once a mob if locked you can't get on its aggro list and if you aren't on its aggro list you can't do anything to it. Period. You can't kill steal anything because you can't do anything to it. You can't train anyone...
I didn't like Sanctum until I was plowing it with a build that was favored in that environment plus had a big suite of +merchant options relics. I was mostly done with the league when my relic RNG changed around. If that didn't happen I'd have quit way earlier and had an entirely different view...
I don't think it's so much about wanting to be in a guild with a pristine lineage as it is not wanting to get blindsided by a toxic freight train if you ever show up to do something in open world. The rules look like they could create all manner of opportunities for people to be fucks should the...
Someone needs to pull and Rangers come with snares and shit.
At least when you hit 50 as a Magician your immediate Ranger reroll will have a 10% exp bonus.
