Yes, in fact PCI-E 3.0 isn't really fleshed out right now so it doesn't make much of a difference if at all. The system will drop the gen of the card to match your slot. My brother got the 650 Ti Boost and it's really quiet, to the point that he asked me if it was actually working at all.
