Infusing mats aren't an issue for for. I've got 50+ exotic shards and every single year 1 exotic weapon/armor I can dismantle for more. My issue is just making a wise choice with the marks. I'm thinking Invective since it's an ammo regening shotgun. I really like bad juju and red death, but...

I understand that they added 40 to make "leveling" not gear dependent. My point was, if it's so easy and fast to hit 40, and you are right back to needing a higher light level to unlock activities (that is 100 percent gear dependent), why bother with levels at all?unless you are going to make...

What's the point of levels if the xp required is so minimal? Was 34 at start, turned in 16 completed bounties (mostly the small 2500 xp kind), and hit 39. No xp booster consumable or anything. Even a casual who had no completed bounties saved up can easily max out by just doing the easy pve...

Silly question, but have you been using a treasure key on the big chest after you beat Skolas? That's where all that stuff comes from...and you need to make sure to have room in the respective inventory slots or they poof (don't go to Postmaster).

Totally agree. I don't have tons of playtime, but was hoping if they held the raid back a week or so, I'd have a shot of being where I needed to be level/gear wise to run the raid when it is still brand new to everyone.

Yeah you need a ps+ sub. It's only $40 a year if you buy at the right time, rarely $30-35. Get free games each month too if you so desire. Worth it to upgrade to ps4. better visuals, less load time, system chat, etc

Exchange them, but don't dismantle them yet. The engrams should have a little II in the corner, meaning they will roll into xpac 2 items. Even if you wait until TK, they will still be tagged as HoW. Tomorrow's stream should shed some light on how old items can be used to level up new stuff...

Not only do you need to level up to 40, but they said a lot of the activities will have required light levels. So let's say the raid is level 40, light level (or armor item power I guess it equates to now) 60. That should take quite a while to achieve before the raid unlocks. Not to mention...

I believe exotics will be upgradable because Bungie has been very careful to, multiple times, say that legendary weapons/armor specifically will not be ascended. If it was exotics too wouldn't they simply say all year 1 gear is being left behind instead of singling out legendaries?

It won't be obsolete, just a bit less OP than it has been (I'm betting it will still be the best, or on par with the best rocket launchers). They haven't come out and said it yet, I don't think, but exotics will have an upgrade path for TK, just legendaries are getting left behind.

Prison probably won't change anything for you. If you have VoG and CE guns pretty much everything in the Prison is a downgrade. The Prison armor will get you to 34 quickly but all the perks only work in the Prison. Better off just ascending VoG or CE gear for perks that help in more/all pve...

I knew gjallarhorn nerf had to come eventually, but icebreaker and blackhammer too? Come on. If you haven't read it yet, IB now has an 8 second recharge per shot instead of 5, and blackhammer white nail perk pulls ammo from reserve instead of being unlimited.
