Some sites here have set up a way to check the queues before ordering. The Asus TUF OC had 878 in queue. That will take a while to hammer through. Zotac and Gainward had 14 in queue haha.

Mounted the GPU vertical today, the temps are not great, not terrible. Horizontal and my own fan curve and it maxed out at 70C. Vertical with same fan curve and it now went all the way to 76C with average temp 66C but the fans work much harder. Wanted it to work because of not having to deal...

Speaking of Ram, the prices seems kinda low on them atm so thinking maybe buying 2 more sticks to go from 16 to 32gb. Is there any benefit in gaming by doing that? Or is 16gb still the sweet spot?

Stores in the US offers no queue system? I think most online stores here have a queue system so they trickle out to customers as stock comes in. So basically most people have a queue number from sept 17th. Only people I see sniping cards are the FE ones from nvidia.

New Nvidia driver released today/yesterday might have fixed the crashing for many users experiencing that issue.

I tried setting the chassi fans to monitor the CPU and it lowered the CPU temp quite a bit, 3080 still sits at 73-74C. It does make the fans rev up a bit more though.

Yea the stock cooler does the job but it is noisy, at least mine was. Jet turbine when gaming, might have been the case also that made it spin up a lot. WIsh I wasnt stuck in the mATX mindset when I upgraded to my 3700x, seeing as I had to go ATX case anyway with the 3080. Missing the USB-C...

Anyone ever used the vertical mounts for GPU that some cases have? Was going to buy a cable for the Phanteks mount but seeing how thicc the 3080 is it seems it will sit next to the glass. So not sure that was a good idea.

Gave up on the mATX form factor due to the 3080. Rebuilt the PC today with the Phantek P500a case. Might get a bigger radiator of the Arctic Freezer II later on, but for now the 240mm will have to do. I am no RGB fan but this is how it looks on the first boot. Might turn it off later.

My MSI Ventus has performed perfectly. Not a single crash or wierd behavior. Is it people OCing that get crashes or normal plebs like me also?

The market here is ice cold. People can hardly flip the 3080s for a profit from what I see. Not like US ebay prices at least.

I got a Gigabyte 3090 order through and now I am all confused why I ordered it haha. Will see if I can sell the 3080 for a profit and pay towards the 3090.

Played a few titles yesterday on the new 3080 with Gsync on and the black screens havent popped up since I switched card. Might have been something with my 1070.

The 95 was a spike, it seems to sit at 80-85C most of the time. With my old 1070 the CPU never went above 82C with heavy load. The case is small and the 3080 generates a lot of heat so I think I will order a P500a, mesh front, more room and bigger fans.

Benchmarked the 3080 today. Everything max and vsync off. Went from 34fps on gtx1070 to this.

The weight seems to be 1370g on the MSI. I dont think the other card manufacturers ship the bracket so it's probably not needed.

Nah I just wanted to be able to play it without crashing every 30 minutes, besides that issue it was a great game and looks really good. Speaking of crashing, did they sort that out yet? I still need to play through the Frozen Wilds part, waiting on the 3080 to come home first though.
